Todd Jackson Promoted to Executive Vice President, Economic Development, ADP

Hattiesburg, MS. – (December 7, 2017) – Todd Jackson has been promoted to Executive Vice President, Economic Development, Area Development Partnership (ADP) in Greater Hattiesburg, MS.  Todd joined the ADP in September 2014 after spending a decade working in manufacturing engineering around the nation.  Todd is a graduate of the True South Course in Economic Development at The University of Southern Mississippi and the University of Oklahoma’s Economic Development Institute (EDI).  He is also a graduate of Leadership Pinebelt and has been accepted into the Mississippi Economic Council’s (MEC’s) 2018 Leadership Mississippi Class.

At the ADP, Todd leads a four person economic development team focused on helping local companies start, existing businesses expand, and recruiting new ones from around the globe.  During Todd’s tenure here in economic development, Greater Hattiesburg has seen an inordinate amount of job growth.  The area’s unemployment rate has dipped to 3.8% and earlier this year Greater Hattiesburg was ranked #1 in job growth in Mississippi among metro areas by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) and 68th nationally.  The ADP’s Economic Development team has worked on projects ranging from retail, mixed-use, advanced manufacturing, distribution, technology, and back office operations.  These projects have led to the creation of thousands of jobs and large capital investments with tax revenue aiding our units of governments and area school systems.

The Area Development Partnership (ADP) serves as Greater Hattiesburg’s regional Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development organization.
