Workforce Training
The Pinebelt Works Basic Manufacturing Skills Certificate program is an intensive 80-hour course that exposes students to the most important aspects of a skilled manufacturing employee; safety, manufacturing math and measurement tools, blueprint reading, lean manufacturing, and statistical process control. Pearl River Community College’s Woodall Advanced Technology Center provides a class environment that is designed to replicate the manufacturing workplace and everyone must clock in and out of class with a zero-tolerance attendance policy. Successful graduates of the program have scored a silver or higher on the Career Readiness Certificate (Work Keys CRC) test, have a 10-hour OSHA certification, a CPR/First Aid certification, perfect attendance, and passing scores on all component testing. These are the employees that will make a difference for their employer right here in the Pinebelt. Interested applicants should contact the Woodall Center at 601.554.4646 to get started today!
