Poised to become the most widely used and recognized agricultural biological in the world, Bio Soil Enhancers is leaning into a fertile future with Mississippi roots.

Headquartered on James Street in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Bio Soil operates in a 27,000 square foot facility with 24 employees. From its humble beginnings of three staff members, the company has grown into a network of domestic and international licensees, investors and customers all over the world. With its blend of soil-borne microorganisms selected for their abilities to achieve higher yielding, higher quality plants and grasses by restoring and maintaining soil health and fertility, SumaGrow is an all natural, organically based solution to over-fertilization.

Racking up awards and accolades galore, Bio Soil has set a high standard for making an impact with their product quality. The company was awarded the 2014 and 2016 Mississippi Governor’s Award for Excellence in Exporting based on their drastic increase in international sales. Their state-of-the-art product also earned a Google “Moonshot” Award in 2015, as the company was recognized as one of four finalists selected by the Google Developer Group. In addition, Bio Soil was ranked 2nd and 4th consecutively on the 2013 and 2014 Inc. 500 list of fastest growing private U.S. companies in manufacturing. Most recently the company was chosen by a star-studded panel of judges for the top award at “Pitch Tank” in Las Vegas, a competition of over 800 applicants from across the world.  With a plethora of awards on global playing fields, Bio Soil Enhancers continues to break ground on continued evidence and exposure for their industry-changing product.

“I think we’re apart of a bigger picture,” says Aimee Murry, Public Relations and Marketing Communications Manager for Bio Soil Enhancers, in talking about the company’s vision. With close community synergies to the Hattiesburg area and The University of Southern Mississippi, Bio Soil is reaping a plentiful harvest of partnership and success. With some of the best and brightest researchers at Southern Miss, Bio Soil is capitalizing on opportunities to take their research and development efforts to the next level. Driven by the greater good of protecting our natural resources, Bio Soil is set on efficiency and sustainability of their product and process.

“Are we the total solution? No, but we’re part of it. We’re in this big picture. It’s about more than us…The definition of sustainability begins with recognizing that our resources are limited and acknowledging that they are for every generation,” said Murry. Bio Soil President Wayne Wade reiterated the company’s forward-thinking vision in looking ahead to the future of both Bio Soil, the Hattiesburg community and the agricultural industry at large. “We want to leave a legacy of good stewardship,” said Wade.

With over 10 awards and recognitions over the past seven years for their industry-changing product, it’s safe to say that Bio Soil Enhancers and SumaGrow are indeed leaving a legacy of innovation, collaboration, and stewardship.
