At 12:30 pm on the Southern Miss Stage hosted by Clear Channel Radio, the Area Development Partnership will join in celebration of two birthday parties, one for the 60th Anniversary of the Hattiesburg Zoo, and one for the Centennial Celebration for The University of Southern Mississippi.  Join us as we sing Happy Birthday and eat cupcakes to celebrate these two gems in the Hattiesburg area.

 

SMAA CHILDREN'S ART SHOW

9:00 am - 4:00 pm | Located in the Faulkner Building

In honor of the Hattiesburg Zoo’s 60th Anniversary, the South Mississippi Art Association Student Art Show 2010, sponsored by Mississippi Power, has been dedicated to zoo animals, many of which you can find here in the City of Hattiesburg at the Hattiesburg Zoo. Stop by the Faulkner Building (located at the intersection of Main and Front Streets) and take a look around at some of the great artwork exhibited by local student artists from kindergarten to 12th grade. Congratulations on a job well done and thank you for enhancing our community through art!
Thank you to the Hattiesburg Zoo, Mississippi Power, South Mississippi Art Association, Bristles Art Studio, Southern Oil Company and all of the student artists at area schools for help making this event a success!

The Biker Church

The Biker Church is an exciting Ministry in Hattiesburg, Saucier and Carriere, MS.  Pastors John "Rev" and Jackie Taylor along with a great group of biker / motorcyclist have felt the need and calling to open a Church dedicated to the biking community and those who love them. The Biker Church is not an organization, club or association but a Church where individuals can come and feel right at home, among peers and friends who have a love for Christ. Most of the staff has been involved in motorcycles and the life for years and know how hard sometimes it is to fit in among those who don’t understand their lives. The Biker Church Does! It is Bikers ministering with Bikers. CORVETTE EXHIBIT

Gulf Coast Corvette Club

Established in 1969 , the Gulf Coast Corvette Club has brought together Corvette enthusiasts from all over Tampa Bay and has become one of the premier Corvette clubs in the Florida.  The club features a couple of events throughout the entire year and the wide variety of activities offered provides something for every "Vette" owner. They are based in Bradenton, FL and sponsored by Cox Chevrolet. Membership meetings are held at the Synovus Bank on the second and fourth Tuesdays of every month at 7:00 p.m. all year long. Many members have been involved in the Corvette hobby for many years. Others just bought their first Corvette and are new to the hobby.
