At 12:30 pm on the Southern Miss Stage hosted by Clear Channel Radio, the Area Development Partnership will join in celebration of two birthday parties, one for the 60th Anniversary of the Hattiesburg Zoo, and one for the Centennial Celebration for The University of Southern Mississippi.  Join us as we sing Happy Birthday and eat cupcakes to celebrate these two gems in the Hattiesburg area.

The Joy Riders – Christian Motorcyclists Association

The Joy Riders, born 25 years ago out of a dream of Robert L. Cook, was the first chapter in Mississippi of the Christian Motorcyclists Association.  Cook established three chapters throughout Mississippi so Christian bikers could ride, witness, and fellowship together with other Christian bikers.  The Joy Riders serve as a ministry group, not a club.  They participate in the Mississippi State CMA Rally in the fall and a time of refreshing called “Seasons of Refreshing” in the early spring.  They also participate in Run for The Son, a national fundraiser to raise money for buying small bikes, Bibles, film, and other literature to support missionary work in other countries.  They also participate and help in local motorcycle functions, jail and prison ministries, benefits and church rides.  For more information on the Christian Motorcyclists Association, visit www.cmausa.org.
